With all of the events I've had the pleasure of being a part of for over a decade...I have so many experiences to share with you! While here, you may find inspiration for your wedding day, corporate function or the things I like to get into when I'm not planning like a BOSS!
Look Ma! We made it through 2020!! And I think more than any other time in my lifetime, that is a BIG DEAL. I made it, my dear immediate family made it, my wedding couples made it! There is MUCH to celebrate!! Especially, if you Postponed the Date or Saved the Date for a 2021 wedding. Today we’ll take a look at my Top Wedding Trends for 2021. Let’s dive right in.
Tiny Weddings make a BIG impact. I think this first one is pretty obvious. It’s responsible, it’s memorable, and yes, even economical to go small in 2021. The pandemic is far from behind us right now and the smartest, safest way to get married on the day you want this year is to decrease your guest count. I think if were under any other circumstances your guest may be in their feelings about getting uninvited but after the year we just had, you will get a pass, trust me. They will still love you! Go Small and save the large gathering for your 1-yr or 5-yr milestone anniversary.
Bringing the Backyard Back. Another Top Wedding Trend for 2021 is Backyard or Outdoor Weddings. Backyards have gotten a bad rap since the 80’s. It used to be where you got married if you didn’t want to or couldn’t pay for a venue…but now? Give me a park or grandma’s backyard and we’re talking an aesthetically pleasing, CDC-approved backdrop for your nuptials. Pipe and drape have changed the game. We can create walls in any color you want and repurpose ceremony chars for the reception tables in the backyard vs. coming into a venue where germs can ruin the fun. Consider this trend…I think it’s a true contender for keeping your date and reimagining your wedding day decor.
Stream and they won’t miss a thing! So this is a very cool way to have your wedding broadcast and even have a virtual guest book. LoveStream is a platform that allows you to do just that! You can rent equipment such as their high-quality microphone rental that is perfect for capturing clear, crips sound–especially for outdoor weddings. You can even walk right up to your video camera after you get married to waive and give thanks to everyone who logs in. Talk about an immersive virtual wedding! Save 10% today with Love Stream.
Photoshoot & Dinner for Two! This is by far my personal favorite trend for 2021. Instead of taking engagement photos and they end there…why not make your entire wedding day into a photoshoot for just the two of you? You will still need the use of typical wedding day vendors to pull this off. Hair and Makeup Artist, photographer, videographer, officiant, baker, florist, decor rentals, and caterer. Have everyone show up on location – which can be a photography studio that can rent for $30-60/hr- and setup just as they would for a larger wedding. Except it would be just 1 bouquet & boutonnire and table decor for two. You can even still do luxury menu cards and place settings for the two of you from our friends at Oda Creative. and then live-stream your nuptials for all of your guests and follow that with dinner and dancing for two in the studio. Can you just imagine the intimate, romantic and beautiful decor, detail and couple shots from this!?!?! Like I said, it’s my favorite trend for 2021 to go small for your wedding and if you’re interested in learning more about how to make this happen, get in touch today!
