Magnolia Hotel : Downtown Houston wedding and banquet venue

We’ve been visiting venues in Downtown Houston on our SwaLaRue Venue Tour. Some of our favorites include the historic Julia Ideson Library, the landmark Crystal Ballroom, and The Parador, located South of Downtown. Today we’re heading to Magnolia Hotel, located at 1100 Texas Avenue. Its close proximity to Christ Church Cathedral make it an ideal location for a reception following a church wedding, or a venue where you celebrate both your ceremony and reception. Anything is possible at Magnolia Hotel.

Magnolia Houston offers three event spaces — the Magnolia Ballroom, the Magnolia Lounge, and the Sterling Ballroom — all nestled inside the hotel along with smaller meeting rooms and intimate dining room perfect for a rehearsal dinner. With over 300 guestrooms, Magnolia Houston will not only be home to your incredible event, it can also comfortably house all your guest.

What I love about this venue:

With multiple ballrooms, I love the versatility of the spaces. Side rooms off the Magnolia Lounge allow for a photo booth or activity space or babysitting so the adults can party while their children are watched on-site. oms offer extra space for fun activities such as photo booths, kid’s room and more. The hotel’s proximity to the airport makes it a great space to host a wedding with out of state guests.
