Downtown Aquarium : An aquatic wonderland with beautiful ballroom in Houston, Texas

Downtown Aquarium includes a 500,000 gallon complex as well as a Ferris wheel, aquatic carousel and white tiger exhibit. On site is a 6,000 square-foot ballroom seating up to 450 guests.

Our SwaLaRue Venue Tours have taken us to Addison Woods, the Crystal Ballroom, and Sandlewood Manor to name a few. We are heading to Downtown Aquarium for today’s tour.

Pricing

The Downtown Aquarium requires a food and beverage minimum plus a 20% service charge and tax, that depends on the date and time of the event. There is no charge for the use of the space providing that you meet the food and beverage minimum. (Minimums are anywhere from $3500 to $16000+ for most months).

What I love about this venue:

There is so much to take in when getting married at Downtown Aquarium. Guests are wow-ed from the moment they are greeted by a 50,000 gallon tank in the foyer of the Nautilus Ballroom. The wrap-around patio, located on the third floor outside the ballroom, provides beautiful views day or night and is the perfect place to take photos.
