With all of the events I've had the pleasure of being a part of for over a decade...I have so many experiences to share with you! While here, you may find inspiration for your wedding day, corporate function or the things I like to get into when I'm not planning like a BOSS!
It’s about that time ya’ll….we are saying goodbye to this Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Year! And the sad part is, some of the pain and anxiety and frustration of 2020 IS going to bleed over into 2021. The more honest conversation we can have about THAT, the better we’ll be able to set our expectations for the New Year.
As I prepare for 2021, I am becoming very much aware of the things that are MOST important to me. The struggle I’ve had lately is, how do I put action behind what is important to me? My husband, my mental & physical health, extended family, time blocking and being a good steward of money are all very important to me. But when my actions are not aligned with what’s important, what does that say?
Setting my intentions for 2021 are going to be very straight forward this year. I’m going to focus on what’s important to me- and put action behind it. You’ll see that first hand with my fitness and meal prep and routine date nights with Mr. Lewis .
Last year I had pretty clear intentions about saying yes to less and wow did that ever come to fruition (thanks corona…) and because I thought I’d mastered fitness in 2019, it wasn’t a focus for me in 2020 and I literally packed on pounds this year (again…thanks corona ♀️). I think both of these examples show that where you put your energy – is where you’ll see results. So I want to encourage everyone out there to not only – think about what your intentions are for 2021 but to WRITE THE VISION!
I’ve been using principles from my church family, Faith Family Church for the past 5yrs now to Write the Vision in all the areas of my life: family, finances, professional, and personal life. It’s important to SEE what your intentions are so you can have constant reminders set before you. These reminders are most important when you get discouraged or demotivated.
I’m excited to sit with the SwaLaRue Cru to at our second annual Vision Board Party. At our first one it was nice and intimate and some very cool things happened from those boards: major career changes, a baby on the way and a wedding just 2 days away! So we’re going to keep this party going and I hope you’ll join us this year. Grab a group of friends, a Zoom meeting link, some Door Dash and some scrapbook supplies and you have yourself one pandemic-friendly vision board party!
To get you started, I’ve come up with a shortlist of essential supplies to get you started to build your board in the coming weeks. Enjoy!
I can’t wait to hear what your vision will be and I wish you all of the PEACE, GRACE and PROSPERITY 2021 has instore for you and your family!
